What Should I Do? What Should I Do?

Posted on: February 18, 2011

Should I finish my shrug or complete the afghan panel for my knitting group? Hmmm.

The shrug requires completing many long rows of openwork knitting, attaching it to the bottom of the shrug and lots of seam sewing once I’ve completed the back pattern panel.  The afghan panel requires me to knit a fairly long but straightforward stretch of a 6″ wide panel with absolutely no finishing work. Seems a no-brainer, doesn’t it.

I might split the decision though. The afghan panel – at least at this point in its construction – lends itself to being carried around. So maybe I’ll keep the afghan panel in my knitting tote to work on when I’m running errands, going to church (how else can I sit for an hour without fidgeting?), riding in the car (note I said “riding” not “driving”) and such. And work on finishing the shrug when I’m on the couch watching my programs. (Sounds so much better than “watching TV”, doesn’t it?)

Sounds like a plan.
